September 29, 2016 | EarthTech Enterprises began work for the South End Emergency Truck Haul project Friday, September 23. Through Wednesday, September 28, 476 truckloads of sand from the Immokalee Sand Mine has placed approximately 10,585 tons of sands, or just over 21% of the target tonnage for the project. The new sand is being placed on the beach from south to north in front of the Longboat Key Club Inn On The Beach, covering over 300 feet of the project so far. 228 of the 476 truckloads were delivered on Wednesday, September 28, which equates to 10% of the design tonnage of the project.
