Voter Registration Deadline for the November 8, 2016, General Election....

****IMPORTANT VOTER INFORMATION****

November 8, 2016 - Voter Registration Deadline Has Passed

 

Residents of the Town of Longboat Key must be registered to vote by TUESDAY, OCTOBER 18, 2016 to vote on November 8, 2016.

In addition to Federal, State, and County ballot issues, the Town of Longboat Key has two referendum questions on the ballot (shown below).  Please be sure to vote both sides of the ballot,

DENSITY REFERENDUM

NOVEMBER 8, 2016

 

May the Town allow the contiguous properties known as Whitney Plaza as more fully identified and described in Manatee County Property Appraiser’s parcel ID numbers 7803800007, 7805000051, and 7818700059 and comprising approximately five (5) acres (approximately 3.5 acres uplands), to increase density from C-2 commercial uses (which allows no density) to R-6MX residential use (which allows a maximum of six (6) units per acre)?

 

                                                                        YES – IN FAVOR OF  

 

                                                                        NO – AGAINST

May the Town allow the property located at 4134 Gulf of Mexico Drive and comprising approximately 0.874 acres, to increase residential density from zero (0) residential units per acre to a maximum of three (3) residential units per acre?

 

                                                                        YES – IN FAVOR OF  

 

                                                                        NO – AGAINST    

 

 

To register to vote, you must complete a Florida Voter Registration Application form. Forms are available at supervisor of elections offices, city halls, county offices and libraries, social service agencies, and many area banks, and may be downloaded from the Supervisor of Elections (SOE) websites at www.sarasotavotes.com or www.votemanatee.com.

 

 

The Supervisor of Elections Office also recommends that voters verify their registration information.  A voter who has moved, had a name change, or needs to update his or her signature since the last election may do so by completing a voter registration application.
