NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
OCTOBER 18, 2016
Please take notice that the Town of Longboat Key will hold a public hearing on the following Ordinance to adopt proposed amendments to the Longboat Key Comprehensive Plan:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF LONGBOAT KEY, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE 2007 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN OF THE TOWN OF LONGBOAT KEY; REPEALING AND REPLACING IN THEIR ENTIRETY THE FOLLOWING ELEMENTS WITHIN THE TOWN’S COMPREHENSIVE PLAN: CONSERVATION AND COASTAL MANAGEMENT, Housing, capital improvements, storm water, AND Recreation and Open Space; REPEALING IN ITS ENTIRETY THE Intergovernmental Coordination Element; ESTABLISHING THE GOVERNANCE AND THE IMPLEMENTATION ELEMENTS WITHIN THE TOWN’S COMPREHENSIVE PLAN; PROVIDING FOR COMPLIANCE WITH THE FLORIDA COMMUNITY PLANNING ACT; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR REPEAL OF ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
A Public Hearing before the Planning and Zoning Board on the proposal will be held on October 18, 2016, at 9:00 a.m., or as soon thereafter as may be heard, at the Town Commission Chambers, Town Hall, 501 Bay Isles Road, Longboat Key, Florida.
All interested persons may appear and be heard with respect to the proposed amendment. Copies of the proposed amendment and related material may be viewed at the Planning, Zoning & Building Department, 501 Bay Isles Road, between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. weekdays. Questions may be directed to the Planning, Zoning & Building Department at 316-1966.
No verbatim record by a certified court reporter is made of these proceedings. Accordingly, any person who may seek to appeal any decision involving the matters noticed herein will be responsible for making a verbatim record of the testimony and evidence at these proceedings upon which any appeal is to be based (see Section 286.0105, Florida Statutes.).
