The Town of Longboat Key and the Longboat Key Chamber of Commerce host the Annual Disaster Preparedness Seminar and are joined by Keynote Speaker Brian Lamarre. Brian is the Meteorologist-in-Charge of the National Weather Service Tampa & NOAA Gulf of Mexico Regional Collaboration Team Lead. He will be joined by local Emergency Management Chiefs from both Sarasota & Manatee Counties, as well as the Town's public safety team.
You'll learn how to prepare your Disaster Plan, what to do when severe weather threatens, tips to stay safe during the storm, and what actions to take toward recovery after the weather passes.
The event will be held at the Longboat Key Club Harbourside Ballroom, 3000 Harbourside Drive, Longboat Key, FL 34228.
