NOTICE OF DENSITY REFERENDUM

NOVEMBER 2, 2021 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a referendum election will be held on the 2nd day of November, 2021, in the Town of Longboat Key, Florida.  Polls will be open from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.  This Density Referendum Election is held for the purpose of determining the following question:

DENSITY REFERENDUM

NOVEMBER 2, 2021 - GENERAL ELECTION

REFERENDUM QUESTION:

May the Town allow the property located at 597 Buttonwood Drive (Property ID# 0005080027) and comprising approximately 0.86 acres, to increase density from OI office-institutional uses (which allows no density) to the R-3SF residential use (which allow a maximum of three (3) residential units per acre), for a maximum total of 2 residential units on the property?

YES - IN FAVOR OF                          

NO - AGAINST                                  

Manatee County registered voters will also have a County-wide referendum included on their ballot.  Manatee County residents will vote at Island Chapel, 6200 Gulf of Mexico Drive, Longboat Key, FL.

Sarsota County registered voters will vote at Town Hall, 501 Bay Isles Road, Longboat Key, FL.
