Objective

The Town of Longboat Key volunteer program strives to connect residents with municipal departments through active volunteer participation. Volunteers are vital to the success of our Town and benefit by gaining a greater understanding of their local government while strengthening their community bond. Departments periodically have opportunities which are listed below when available.

Application Process

Those interested in volunteering are invited to call Human Resources at 941-316-1999 or e-mail hr@longboatkey.org for a Volunteer Program Application.  Upon receipt, we will explore your interests, qualifications and skill set to match you to available opportunities. Should you be a candidate for an available opportunity, and it has been determined you meet the qualifications for the assignment and your background check results are acceptable, Human Resources will work with you and the interested supervisor to set up an interview.
