NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS

RESOLUTION 2024-23, RESOLUTION 2024-24 and RESOLUTION 2024-25

December 2, 2024 - 10:00 a.m.

Notice is hereby given that the Longboat Key Town Commission will hold public hearings to consider Resolution 2024-23, Resolution 2024-24, and Resolution 2024-25 on December 2, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., or as soon thereafter as possible. The meeting will be held in the Town Commission Chamber, at Town Hall, 501 Bay Isles Road, Longboat Key, Florida.

RESOLUTION 2024-23

A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE ADOPTED BUDGET OF THE TOWN OF LONGBOAT KEY, FLORIDA, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 2024, AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2025; TRANSFERRING FUNDS FROM GENERAL FUND BALANCE TO GENERAL FUND DEPARTMENT BUDGETS FOR ENCUMBERED, UNSPENT PURCHASE ORDERS OPEN AS OF SEPTEMBER 30, 2024; TRANSFERRING FUNDS FROM WATER AND WASTEWATER FUND BALANCE TO UTILITY DEPARTMENT BUDGETS FOR ENCUMBERED, UNSPENT PURCHASE ORDERS OPEN AS OF SEPTEMBER 30, 2024; TRANSFERRING FUNDS FROM BUILDING ENTERPRISE FUND BALANCE TO BUILDING DEPARTMENT BUDGETS FOR ENCUMBERED, UNSPENT PURCHASE ORDERS OPEN AS OF SEPTEMBER 30, 2024; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

RESOLUTION 2024-24 

A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF LONGBOAT KEY, FLORIDA, ELECTING TO USE THE UNIFORM METHOD OF COLLECTING NON-AD VALOREM SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS FOR MORE THAN ONE YEAR LEVIED WITHIN THE INCORPORATED AREA OF LONGBOAT KEY, FLORIDA; STATING A NEED FOR SUCH LEVY; PROVIDING FOR THE MAILING OF THIS RESOLUTION; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. 

RESOLUTION 2024-25

A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF LONGBOAT KEY, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR ADOPTED BUDGET BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 2024, AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2025; TRANSFERRING FUNDS FROM REVENUES, OTHER FINANCING SOURCES OR OTHER EXPENDITURE LINES TO COVER ANTICIPATED OVERAGES IN OPERATING AND CAPITAL  DEPARTMENT EXPENDITURES WITHIN ADOPTED FUND BUDGETS; TRANSFERRING FUNDS TO COVER EMERGENCY RELATED EXPENDITURES ASSOCIATED WITH HURRICANES HELENE AND MILTON; AND TRANSFERRING FUNDS TO COVER UTILITY WATER METER UPGRADES;  PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

All interested persons may appear and be heard with respect to the resolutions. Copies of the resolutions and related materials may be viewed prior to the public hearing at the Office of the Town Clerk, 501 Bay Isles Road, Monday through Friday, between 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. No verbatim record by a certified court reporter is made of these proceedings. Accordingly, any person who may seek to appeal any decision involving the matters noticed herein will be responsible for making a verbatim record of the testimony and evidence at these proceedings upon which any appeal is to be based (see Section 286.0105, Fla. Stat.).
