The Town of Longboat Key has adopted permit fees by resolution with the goal of insuring that building fees cover only the costs of associated Department services, in compliance with Florida Statutes. The Town building permit fees were amended, and became effective 10/01/22. The revised Resolution 2022-20 adopted a new fee schedule for Planning, Zoning & Building Permit Fees and Fire Fees associated with the type of permitting. This fee schedule includes flat fees (depending on the type of permit), and fee amounts for new construction, alterations and additions based on the square footage of improvements.
