Community Policing
The goal of the Longboat Key Police Department is to foster a partnership with local businesses and residents. This partnership between police and community provides opportunities for identifying problems and implementing solutions. Working closely with the community enables an officer to know the residents and the residents to become familiar with it’s officers. The main focus for the Police Department is to meet the needs of the community and enhance quality of life on Longboat Key.
Crime Prevention
Our Officers will provide individuals or groups with information on personal safety and home security. LBKPD is available to meet with groups or the individual homeowner to educate the community on how to prevent residential crimes.
