Fill out a Request for Reimbursement Form and return to the Town's Public Works Department

Step 2
Town Staff will schedule a site visit to determine eligibility

Step 3
Town Staff will provide results to the Applicant

Step 4
If approved for reimbursement, the Applicant may proceed with clearing

Step 5
Once trees have been removed, the applicant shall contact Town Staff to request a final site visit. The Applicant must furnish Town Staff with an invoice for the tree removal. Town Staff will coordinate with applicant in providing reimbursement per the appropriate threshold.

All signed applications must be returned to the Town of Longboat Key’s Public Works Department for review and consideration.


Town staff shall inspect all subject properties and Australian Pines in determining eligibility based on potential impacts to one or more of the following:

  • Roadways
  • Buildings Structures
  • Water & Sewer Lines
  • Above and/or Underground Utilities

Applications may be mailed, or delivered, to the Town’s Public Works Department located at:

All funds will be released on on a first-come first-serve basis.

Condominium Associations may act as one applicant in requesting reimbursement for qualifying Australian Pines within the common element of the Condominium Association's property.
