Green garbage cans (Auto Carts) utilized on Longboat Key are provided by and the property of Waste Management. The garbage containers come in three sizes (96, 64 or 32 gallons). Please call Waste Management at (941) 753-7591 for additional garbage carts (cost $89.57) or for replacement carts (cost $44.80).

The "single stream" recycling program allows for recycling all of your recyclable materials previously sorted into the dual bins in this one container. No more sorting; all your glass, metal and paper items go into the cart.

Please do not line your cart with plastic bags or put your recycles in plastic bags. Plastic bags contaminate your recycling materials and they will not be picked up.

Place your cart curbside, within five feet of the street, on the opposite side of your driveway from your mailbox.

Remember to recycle your old bins curbside.
