Public Forum Permit Applications

Special events are permitted by the Town on public property, including the beach, parks, streets and public facilities, through a Public Forum Permit Application. Special events include wedding ceremonies, birthday parties, tournaments, parades, fairs, grand openings, races or rally's, art festivals, concerts, bicycle runs and block parties. There is a $100 nonrefundable fee associated with the permit. To obtain a permit application, please contact 941-316-1988.

Rules and regulations for our beach and parks can be found in Town Code Chapter 92, Parks, Public Beaches, and Public Beach Accesses. Additional beach related regulations concern the safety of sea turtle and shorebird nesting during those respective seasons. Sea turtle nesting season runs from May 1 through October 31. Seashore bird nesting season along Florida beaches begins February 1 and ends August 31. Nesting regulations may affect the permit for your special event.

Events at Bayfront Park

All events held at the Bayfront Park Recreation Center facility require additional permissions and have separate fees. A separate application is required for all events at Bayfront Park. To obtain an application, please contact 941-316-1988.
